New Puppy!!!

We just got a new puppy yesterday! I would have told you guys, but i seriously didn't know my mom was getting a puppy till almost and hour before she left. Sad, huh? He's SO cute!!! He's a toy Australian Shepherd just like Ranger and Trixie, but he's tinier. I swear, he's like the size of a six-week old kitten! Here's some picture's of him. Merry Christmas! I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas, i know i did! Well, today i was pretty bored after all the commotion died down, so i decided to try to make my own blog background with my new Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0. I went to The Cutest Blog on the Block for the directions and thought it would be pretty easy. Boy, was i wrong. It took forever to make my design, then longer to make a Photobucket account, then i couldn't figure out how to make it a jpeg. Finally, now i can admire my background. I think all the time it took was worth it. Comment if you like it or not :) ...

Braces...

As some of you may know, i got braces yesterday. A full set. It wasn't that bad at first, but then i gave it a couple hours, and i was pulling out the ibuprofen. Thankfully, i can swallow a pill now. Overall it's not that bad (as long as i have Motrin.) I don't have a picture yet, but i might post one tomorrow with my one of my Christmas gifts! Hope you guys have a lovely Christmas Eve, and an even better Christmas.

Is lip gloss one of the food groups..?

Okay, so i went shopping today with my friend Caitlin. The mall was pretty busy. I bought a couple last minute gifts like the softest sock in the world from Aeropostale. I also bought this lip gloss from Bath & Body works. Usually their lip gloss is really expensive, but they were having a sale and all the lip glosses were $3!!! So i got this C.O. Bigelow CinaMint lip gloss. I absolutely love it! It smells great and tastes even better. Not that i just sit there and eat it. But you know what I'm talking about, like when you taste some, this one actually tastes good! I was also in Dillard's and smelled this fragrance called 'G'. I love it!!! It also comes in the cutest bottle! I asked my mom if i could get it for my Promotion gift. It's made by Harajuku lovers. Here's some pics of perfume and lip gloss.

Finals finally over?

Yeah, well you all know today is the first official day of Christmas Break! Finally, no more studying till 10:00 for Finals, or rushing to finish all of our make up work. We can finally have that well deserved break we've been waiting for. I know everyone's excited for Christmas to come. I can't wait, except for the fact that i get my braces on Christmas Eves' Eve! My mouth's gonna ache all Christmas break!(hey that rhymes!) Well, i guess I'll be happy i got them on when finally get them off my Sophomore year. Well gotta go, hope you all have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year too!

Homemade Present for Christmas!

Jolly Cookie Jar

This one-of-a-kind, do-it-yourself layered glass cookie jar comes with all the necessary dry ingredients already measured out! It is a "just add butter, eggs and vanilla" kind of gift, which will delight grown-ups and kids alike. Any favorite cookie recipe will do; however, we chose a recipe with walnuts, dried cherries and chocolate chips for a festive look and delicious taste!

Ingredients:
1-quart wide-mouthed jar (with a lid) in glass or clear plastic
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup dried tart cherries
1/2 cup rolled oats (not instant)
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3-by-3-inch piece white card stock
Hole punch
16 to 18 inches narrow ribbon or kitchen string

Directions:
Add each ingredient into the jar in the order listed. After each addition, use a large spoon or a small fist to level and pack down each layer. Attach the lid.On the white card stock, make a gift tag that includes the following instructions: "For scrumptious holiday cookies in a flash, preheat the oven to 375°F. Beat together 3 ounces (3/4 stick) softened unsalted butter, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 egg in a large bowl or mixer. Add the contents of the jar and stir or mix until well blended. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until golden, 7 to 10 minutes. Makes 2 dozen cookies. Enjoy!"Punch a hole in a corner of your gift tag, and thread your ribbon or kitchen string through. When the tag is centered in the middle of the ribbon, tie the ribbon around the jar's neck, or secure it under the threads of the lid. Makes 1 jar.

I'm a Mayor!

I just got back from my Consultation at the Orthodontist. I have to get braces, obviously, but they have to be on for 22-24 months!!! That's like 2 years!!! That's not even the sadest part, my over bite is 90%. My smile is overbite city, and I'm the mayor. I think my mom wants me to get my braces on like at the begining of 2009. So, if my math is correct, I'll get my braces off around my Sophmore year! I also have to get this weird thing for my overbite. On the plus side, I won't have braces in my senior picture...
